Ryobi is a brand oriented towards affordable, lower-end homeowner grade tools. Ryobi is a Japanese company that's owned by Techtronic Industries (TTI)–the same Chinese Hong Kong company that owns Milwaukee Tools. The company was established in 1943 under the name of Ryobi Seisakusho Co., Ltd. The current name was adopted in 1973.
